25,000th visiting yacht arrives in Bangor Marina

Bangor Marina welcomed its 25,000th visiting yacht on 24th August 2006. The surprised and delighted visitors, Mr. & Mrs. Watkins from Hexham, Northumberland, who are the owners of Striding Edge, a Moody 47 yacht, were presented with a plaque of the North Down Borough Coat of Arms by the Mayor, Councillor Alan Leslie.

Mr. & Mrs. Watkins were also presented with a bottle of champagne and a 'dinner for two' voucher at the Marine Court Hotel, Bangor by Andrew Jaggers, Manager of Bangor Marina.
